Editorial Review. Enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch outdoors at this cozy bakery and bistro.
Best place to be on a late Sunday morning. Sunrise Bistro is a local favorite. I took my girlfriend there to experience arguably the best place to eat on a late Sunday morning. Waiting for outside seating? Good choice - it is worth it on a nice day. The menu is diverse and offers something for everyone. I recommend the South of the Border. It is exceptional with a mimosa. If you're looking for a great place to eat and take your time, come here.
Basic breakfast food - service needs help. Maybe my expectations were too high. Overall, the food was good, but not as good as pricing might indicate. I got eggs benedict and it was the basic fare, just nothing to get wowed about. You get a basket of pastries (coffee cake type items) which are good, but again, just not fabulous. The real downside is the service. When we arrived with a party of 2, the hostess added our name to a list even though we saw 5 tables outside and about 4 inside that were empty. Many tables needed to be cleared off and then more people could sit down! Our waitress appeared to have the entire outside and was just running ragged - this place needs to hire a busboy. It's just not appetizing to sit with uncleared tables around you. Get it together Sunrise!
Eating out can be healthy too!.
Sunrise Bistro is one of those places only the locals know. Walnut Creek and it's rows of trendy overpriced restuarants can't hold a candle to Sunrise Bistros fresh, healthy, real food.
Sometimes the wiatstaff tends to dissapear, something they need to work on I think.
Sunrise has recently opened it's doors to evening service. A long standing breakfast and lunch
spot i now expanding to include dinner.
Stop by for Sunday Brunch, or for a leisurly weeknight dinner or a great lunch catch -up place.
Sit back and ebjoy some real , healthy food!
