I first wandered into Leonidas back in early November, and the instant bouquet of chocolate aroma that fills the air of this Downtown Walnut Creek shop is trance inducing, and forced me to sample a Truffe Café-Caramel Ganache (milk chocolate, coffee-caramel flavour, coated with dark chocolate and crystal cocoa powder.) Deadly! Since I have been back three different times for a mid-afternoon chocolate fix, and purchased some chocolates for my younger sister (whose name adorns a House-Cream named "Manon.") Then again for a niece, I purchased some House Creams named "Louise." Big hits with the kids! The funny thing is to be there and witness neighboring shop owners, the local postman, and regulars stop by for what is obviously a weekly reason to say "hi" to the owner and his staff. Like your favorite bartender, he remembers what you like the most, and you will find yourself talking with other patrons about how we all came to LOVE CHOCOLATE! And now that list of regulars includes ME.
Pros: Customer Service, Selection, Aromatic Bliss
Cons: Absolutely none.
